Tour de Perris — the Premier Ride of the Perris Valley
The Tour de Perris bike ride was created as one of several events to celebrate the City’s centennial anniversary in 2011. Expecting only 100 riders for the inaugural event, the City was overjoyed when 350 registered riders from all over California and out of state descended on Perris to take part in the Tour de Perris.
With such resounding success, City officials decided to make the Tour de Perris into an annual event
to take place the first weekend in October.
Several events will be held throughout the day on the City Hall campus and will include music, food,
youth activities, games and raffles open to riders, their families, and the public.
All proceeds from the Tour de Perris event benefit local Perris Youth Charities.

Tour de Tots
In 2013, Perris is emphasizing bicycle safety and physical fitness for youngsters and their parents by adding the “Tour De Tots” ride around the Perris City Hall Campus.
The Tot's ride includes an obstacle course geared to teaching riders 6 and under how to navigate on two wheels for fun and safety. An 8-mile family ride also will take place as part of a day loaded with activities for parents and their children.
“We really want to emphasize health, fitness, nutrition and an active lifestyle,” said Sara Cortes dePavon, a City staff member who is helping coordinate the Tour de Perris. “We want to get them off the couch. We’ve got a full day of activities geared toward youth.”
