We are the City’s Animal Control Officers. Our mission is to enforce and communicate laws and ordinances pertaining to the treatment and control of animals and to educate the public on animal care. We are committed to providing responsive and efficient animal control services and animal law enforcement with compassion, integrity, and professionalism. We are located at the city's maintenance yard.

Did You Know...
The City of Perris services residents within the City limits only. Riverside County provides services for the unincorporated area, even if your address is Perris. What Animal Control Officers Do

PROTECT YOUR HEALTH
Rabies is a virus that can infect all warmblooded animals, including man. It is a spread by saliva from infected animals, usually by a bite or scratch. Rabies is 100% fatal once the symptoms appear. The most effective means to assure the control of rabies is to have every dog and cat vaccinated and licensed.

PROTECT YOUR PROPERTY
Animals allowed to roam atlarge may create a public nuisance by destroying property, and causing injuries to themselves and others. All of which may result in a civil action or lawsuit against the owner.

HELP UNWANTED PETS
Responsible pet ownership requires the licensing, vaccination and restraint of your pet. Having your pet spayed or neutered guarantees you have done your part in helping to solve the pet population explosion and show you really care about your animal’s welfare. Unwanted pets are a serious problem. You can make a difference.

PROTECT WILDLIFE
Wild or exotic animals generally do not make good pets. These animals can pose danger if they are not properly housed. You also run the risk of being in violation of many federal, state, and local regulations that prohibit the keeping of these animals. Contact our office for a list of current local regulations.
