Financial Info

Following are financial documents for the City of Perris.

In each of the past four years, the Finance Department was awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.

City Budget

The current Budget for the City of Perris is for 2009 through 2010.

The budget was crafted with the intent of preserving the programs and services critical to the City of Perris during a period of drastically reduced revenue. While the City's population has continued to grow, major General Fund revenue sources such as property and sales taxes, building fees and permits, and interst earnings have all declined precipitously. Overall General /Fund revenue for the 2009/10 fiscal year is projected to be 25% less than just two years ago. The primary objective of the development of this budget was to devote these declining revenues to maintain the current programs and service levels for Perris residents.

Although these are tough economic times, the City's resiliency and willingness to make difficult decisions will position Perris to take full advantage o fthe fiscal recovery as soon as it starts.
