The City of Perris is going dog-friendly this Saturday.

A pair of events are scheduled at May Ranch Park in which the four-legged critters will take center stage. The events—the City’s annual “Strutt Your Mutt” celebration and the American Cancer Society’s “Bark for Life” take place from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at May Ranch Park, 3033 Poppy Court.

Strutt Your Mutt features several fun contests and City staff members hand out prizes for the best bark, best dressed dog, best mutt in strutt, best space doggie and an award for the owner and dog that most looked alike.

City Animal Control Services representatives will sell  licenses and offer a low-cost shot clinic.  Rabies vaccines can be purchased for just $6 during Strutt Your Mutt.  Complimentary hot dogs and soda will be served to the first 150 to attend, compliments of the City of Perris.

The American Cancer Society Bark For Life is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.

By supporting Bark For Life,  City residents can help the American Cancer Society save lives and that helps create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. Saturday’s event marks the first time “Bark for Life” has taken place in Perris.
