The City of Perris’ 24th annual Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place Friday from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the grounds of the City Hall Campus.

'“It’s always fun and we always get a great turnout,” said Perris Mayor Daryl Busch, who will throw the switch that lights the City’s holiday tree. “It’s great for the kids and Santa Claus makes an appearance as well. This event kicks off the Christmas season in Perris.”

The Tree Lighting Ceremony draws hundreds of people so Perris residents are encouraged to arrive early to get good spots to take pictures and see the tree light up. The evening’s activities also include musical performances by students from various schools in and around Perris. Perris City staff will take photographs of youngsters with Santa as well.

The Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place near the Perris City Council Chambers at San Jacinto Avenue and Perris Boulevard.
