More than 200 classic cars and motorcycles, train and trolley rides, face-painting and gold-panning for kids, musical entertainment, a celebration of local history and more take center stage Saturday (June 13) at the 16th annual Rods and Rails Extravaganza in Perris.
Rods and Rails has grown into one of Perris’ signature events over the years and crowd estimates for this year’s festival range from 5,000 to 6,000. Part of the extravaganza includes the annual Potato Festival, which pays tribute to one of the pioneer families that made Perris an agricultural hub for decades.
Musical entertainment will be provided by the East Side All Stars and JoJo Smiles from the Maryjane Girls.
The festivities run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Orange Empire Railway Museum, 2201 South A Street.
Admission is free.
