The City of Perris is seeking volunteers to take part in a community-wide cleanup on Saturday, Sept. 19—and it’s offering a bonus to students who need community service hours.
The cleanup takes place from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and volunteers will be assigned to various locations throughout the City.
Those students who participate will be credited with eight hours of community service for four hours of work. And lunch will be thrown in as well.
The cleanup is being organized by Riverside County Code enforcement and the City’s Youth Advisory Committee (YAC).
Volunteers need to sign a waiver, which can be picked up at the Bob Glass Gymnasium at City Hall, 101 North D Street, the Perris Teen Center, 100 North D Street or by contacting YAC liaison Sara Cortes de Pavon at email@example.com or by calling 951-943-5003, ext. 254.
“This is a great opportunity to beautify the City of Perris,” she said.
