The City of Perris’ annual Christmas Parade takes place Saturday, Dec. 5 and features marching bands, floats, drill teams, classic cars and the appearance of Santa Claus coming to town on a horse-drawn carriage.
The 27th annual Christmas Parade kicks off at 10 a.m. from Fourth and D Streets and proceeds to City Hall.
People interested in watching the fun are encouraged to arrive about 30 minutes early to get a prime viewing spot.
After the parade, children will get a chance to visit with Santa and take home a photo, a candy cane and a stuffed toy (while supplies last) as mementos.
“This is one of our signature events and we are inviting everyone to attend and have a great time,” said Perris Mayor Daryl Busch, who will be riding in the parade in a classic car. “It looks like we’re going to have great weather and a great day for a parade. Come on out and enjoy!”
Recreation Coordinator Rachel Pinedo said the City has already confirmed more than 70 entries will take part in this year’s parade.
Sponsorship opportunities also are available. For more information about entries or to help sponsor the parade call 951-943-6603.
“This is a fun event because the community comes together to celebrate Christmas,” she said.
