The City of Perris has produced and is broadcasting a public-service announcement explaining how residents can obtain the necessary permit to conduct a yard sale, its cost and conditions of its use.
IT Manager Arturo Cervantes, who is coordinating the outreach, said the City has received calls from residents concerned about extended yard sales in their neighborhoods.
“We thought a PSA would be the perfect outlet to inform Perris residents about how they pick up a yard sale permit and when that permit is valid,” Cervantes said.
Residents can pick up applications for yard sales in the Finance Department at City Hall, 101 North D Street. The City allows individuals to hold three yard sales a year. Cost of holding a single yard sale is $7; the price is $15 for three. Yard sale permits are good for three consecutive days between Friday and Sunday. Yard sale signs must be removed by Sunday evening.
Yard sales are not permitted other days.
