The City of Perris is partnering with LifeStream on a blood drive Oct. 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at City Hall Campus, 101 North D Street.
LifeStream is a non-profit serving more than 80 hospitals in Southern California primarily in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
Sandy Hale, a LifeStream area representative, addressed a recent Perris City Council meeting, explaining that the Inland region requires more than 500 pints of blood daily to meet demand.
Hale said LifeStream will bring two bloodmobiles to Perris during the Oct. 2 drive.
Donors are encouraged to visit Lifestream’s website at www.lstream.org or call 1-800-879-4484 to schedule a time to give blood. Walk-ins also are welcomed.
The blood donation process takes about one hour and donors are encouraged to drink plenty of fluids and bring photo identification.
All donors will receive two tickets to the Perris Auto Speedway.
