Perris Students Pass Pre-employment Program

Graduates

Young adults were honored March 28 for graduating from a pre-employment program that taught them valuable job-related skills.  Corey Jackson (far right) of the education non-profit Sigma Beta Xi Inc. and Tracey Holcomb (next to Jackson) of Life Lifters International, which empowers young women through education assistance, teamed with the Perris Employment Program and the Perris Youth Advisory Committee by providing computer literacy, financial literacy and professional development courses to the graduates. As part of the program, the high school students are placed in both City of Perris departments and local Perris businesses where they have an opportunity to utilize their skills. The group was recognized with Certificates of Completion at the beginning of the Perris City Council meeting.
