Members of the Perris City Council posed with recipients of the Tri-Lake Consultants Science and Engineering Scholarship winners at the start of the May 30 City Council meeting: Mayor Pro Tem David Starr Rabb, City Engineer Habib Motlagh, scholarship recipients Estafani Guzman (Perris High School), Kevin Cambero (Perris High School) and Uriel Guerra, (Perris High School), Perris Mayor Michael Vargas, recipients Mikaela Valeriana Amparo Austria (Rancho Verde High School) and Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez (Val Verde High School), Perris City Councilwoman Rita Rogers, City Councilman Malcolm Corona and City Councilwoman Tonya Burke. A sixth recipient, Luis Corrales, (Citrus Hill High School), was unable to attend the awards presentation.
The City of Perris’s engineering firm presented scholarships to six high school students for their scholastic achievements at the May 30 City Council meeting. City Engineer Habib Motlagh’s company, Tri-Lake Consultants, presented checks totaling $5,500 to the six recipients, who received the science and engineering honors for their achievements, hard work, and efforts. The Perris City Council presented Certificates of Recognition to the students, along with their best wishes for success in college and beyond.
