City Honors Rotary Scholarship Recipients

Perris Mayor Michael Vargas (right) stands with high school graduates who were honored with Certificates of Recognition by the City and scholarships by the Rotary Club of Perris. Vargas told the students: “You are the future. It’s our job as elected officials to find good jobs so you will come back to Perris and make our City a greater place to live, work and play. Perris Mayor Michael Vargas presented Certificates of Recognition to 12 graduating seniors during a meeting June 15 of the Rotary Club of Perris. The seniors also were honored by Rotarians with scholarships of up to $1,000 to pay for higher education costs. The recipients graduated from Perris High School, Rancho Verde High School, the California Military Institute and Nuview Bridge Early College High School.
