Dinosaurs takes front and center-state at the City of Perris’ third annual “End of Summer Fling” Sept. 15 at Mercado Park.
The fun takes place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the popular splash pad park, 925 South D Street.
“The end of summer fling brings our community out for a night of fun in a family-friendly environment,” said Recreation Coordinator Rachel Pinedo. “And it gives the City a chance to showcase another of our great parks!”
The highlight of the evening is the showing of the movie “Jurassic World,” the tale of a genetically engineered dinosaurs running amok. Other activities include a photo booth with dinosaur props, arts-and-crafts and the chance to make dinosaur masks, face-painting, a bounce house, free glow sticks and games and raffles.
The movie begins at dusk.
Food vendors will offer funnel cakes, corn dogs, kettle corn and other goodies for sale. A jazz band provides musical entertainment. Mercado Park’s signature splash pad will be turned on for the evening’s activities to provide cooling water for frolicking youngsters.
