Miss Perris Valley and Miss Teen Perris Valley Honored at City Council Meeting

Members of the Perris City Council honored two teen-agers at their April 10 meeting with Certificates of Recognition for their commitment to represent the City at various community events. Receiving the Certificates were R’Mani Anderson, 18, and Alaze Vega, 16. Presenting the awards were City Councilwoman Rita Rogers, City Councilwoman Tonya Burke, Mayor Michael Vargas, Mayor Pro-Tem Malcolm Corona and City Councilman David Starr Rabb.

The City of Perris honored two teen-agers who will be representing the community at several important events in the coming months. City Councilmembers presented Certificates of Recognition to Miss Perris Valley 2018 R’Mani Anderson, 18, a Moreno Valley College student and to Miss Teen Perris Valley 2018 Alaza Vega, 16, a sophomore at Perris High School.

The certificates honor their “dedication and unwavering commitment to (the) community” and note that “your efforts are commendable and a great credit to yourself and the City of Perris.” Anderson said she is pursuing a career in clinical psychology while Vega aspires to be a veterinarian.

Presenting the certificates were City Councilwoman Rita Rogers, City Councilwoman Tonya Burke, Mayor Michael Vargas, Mayor Pro-Tem Malcolm Corona and City Councilman David Starr Rabb.
