Housing Programs
At this time, program funding is not available for the following City’s affordable housing programs:
- Residential Beautification Program,
- Green Light Savings Program,
- Senior Home Repair Program,
- Homebuyer Assistance Program, and
- Substantial Rehabilitation Loan Program
- Foreclosure Homeownership Program
Due to the State's adoption of Assembly Bills 26 and 27, subsequent litigation, and the California Supreme Court's stay of parts of the Assembly Bills, redevelopment agencies throughout the State are prohibited from entering into new agreements or providing financial assistance after June 29, 2011. Therefore, the City’s affordable housing programs are temporarily suspended pending the outcome of the litigation. The Supreme Court anticipates a ruling by January 15, 2012. We thank you for your understanding and patience.
Although these affordable housing programs are not available at this time, the City Housing Division has established an Interest List. Should you wish to be notified when program funds become available, please complete the City of Perris Housing Division Interest List Form and submit to the City Housing Division.
Please note that having your name on the Interest List does not qualify nor approve you for any affordable housing program. Once program funding becomes available, complete program applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

There is one active program:
- Neighborhood Stabilization Program
This new program supported by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, provides targeted emergency assistance to states and local governments to acquire and redevelop foreclosed properties.
