CITY OF PERRIS JOINED CITIES NATIONWIDE FOR
“AMERICA’S NIGHT OUT AGAINST CRIME”
Every year the city of Perris joins cities nationwide for “America’s Night Out against Crime”
National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anticrime efforts, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community partnership, and send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
In August 2008, for the first time, Target Store, a proud partner with National Association of Town Watch and the sponsor for the 25th Annual National Night out joined with Perris Police Department in promoting awareness, safety and neighborhood unity by participating in a National Night Out event in front of the Bob Glass Gymnasium.
Target Executive Team Leaders and Target’s Asset Protection team partnered with the Perris Police Department. Target provided food, beverage and a myriad of activities for over 2,300 participants. This partnership has proven to be very successful. We look forward to an even greater event in 2009 by representing all of the communities served by the Perris Station in one event.
This event is just one example of how the Perris Station crime prevention officer is working with the residents of the area they serve to promote a partnership to enhance quality of life issues for members of the community.
