Detective Bureau

The Detective Bureau serves the cities of Perris, Menifee, Canyon Lake, and the unincorporated areas of Mead Valley, Glen Valley, Woodcrest, Lake Mathews, Nuevo, Romoland and Homeland.

The Perris Station Investigations Unit is comprised of two sergeants, who supervise 13 investigators, a deputy, a crime analyst and a community service officer.  The sergeants are also responsible for supervising our Evidence and Property section, which processes all items of evidence and property that is recovered.

Detectives are assigned to cases that require follow-up investigation beyond the patrol level.  Those include serious crimes, complicated investigations, surveillance, search warrants, undercover operations or out of the area investigations.  Detectives can be called upon to assist the Homicide Unit, gang enforcement teams, narcotics teams, and vehicle theft teams. Detectives also support and assist in community zone policing and the station’s Special Enforcement Team.

Investigations include, but are not limited to:  Sex Crimes, Child Abuse, Robbery, Fraud, Real Estate crimes, Elder Abuse, Burglary, Metal Theft, Computer Crimes, Domestic Violence and Gang Violence.

If you have information on a crime and would like to speak to a detective, you can call the Perris Station at (951) 210-1000.
