PERRIS, Calif. (August 06, 2026) – The City of Perris is pleased to announce the appointment of Benigno (Ben) Sandoval as the City’s new Economic Development Director.
"Ben's extensive experience in economic development, business attraction, and strategic partnerships makes him an outstanding addition to our leadership team," said City Manager Clara Miramontes. "His proven ability to foster investment, strengthen relationships with the business community, and implement innovative economic development initiatives will play a vital role as Perris continues to grow and create new opportunities for residents and businesses alike."
Sandoval brings more than 20 years of experience in economic development, business development, marketing, public relations, workforce development, and strategic planning. Throughout his career, he has partnered with businesses of all sizes to drive investment, encourage job creation, and cultivate vibrant local economies through innovative programs and collaborative partnerships. Most recently, he served as the Economic Development Director for the City of Hemet, where he successfully led a variety of initiatives focused on business recruitment, retention, revitalization, and long-term economic growth. Previous experience also includes the Los Angeles County Workforce Board, and RMD Marketing.

Sandoval holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Public Relations from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and is a Certified Economic Developer through California State University, Fresno. Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation for building strong relationships with the private sector, identifying innovative business solutions, and creating programs that stimulate economic investment and community prosperity.
As Economic Development Director, Sandoval will lead the City's efforts to attract new investment, support existing businesses, encourage commercial and industrial growth, and advance strategic initiatives that strengthen Perris' economy while enhancing quality of life for residents.
The City of Perris welcomes Sandoval to its executive leadership team and looks forward to the experience, vision, and collaborative leadership he brings as the City continues accelerating economic opportunity throughout the community.
