The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) of Perris is dedicated to empowering youth in order to improve our City's future. In effort to fulfill their mission statement, the YAC works in partnership with the office of the Mayor, City Councilmembers, and other City and State Officials. Through these partnerships' members of YAC gain firsthand experience and valuable knowledge regarding identifying a challenge facing the City, constructing plans for its solution, the implementation of those plans, and finally, witnessing the positive results of planning. A key example of this would be the park clean-ups, redesigning of the parks, and identifying areas of the City where parks are lacking.
