The Engineering Department provides administration and coordination with other federal, state and local public and government agencies, districts and organizations involved in transportation, flood control, sewer and water provisions and general public amenities. The Department administers the City’s Capital Improvement Program overseeing contract management for infrastructure improvements from project initiation to contract termination. The engineering review and approval of all proposed private, residential, commercial and industrial land development projects is conducted by Engineering Department to ensure compliance with codes and regulations. The Engineering Department also assesses the day to day traffic operations and future transportation needs.
