The City of Perris Cannabis Compliance Division is dedicated to supporting a safe, responsible, and well-regulated cannabis industry while promoting community well-being. Our goal is to ensure that cannabis businesses operate in compliance with the City of Perris Cannabis Ordinance, protecting both residents and businesses alike.

As the lead coordinator for cannabis licensing and compliance, the Division reviews license applications, collaborates with other city departments, conducts site inspections, and provides guidance to help businesses meet regulatory requirements. Cannabis Business Licensing in the City of Perris

It is unlawful for any person to conduct, engage in, or allow commercial cannabis activity within the City of Perris unless the City has issued a valid cannabis business license in accordance with the City of Perris Cannabis Ordinance.

Purpose of Cannabis Business License Regulations
The City of Perris has established cannabis business license regulations to:

Encourage a well-regulated and responsible cannabis industry
Prevent illegal cannabis operations and access to untested or unsafe cannabis products
Protect the health, safety, and general welfare of residents, with a focus on safeguarding minors and other vulnerable populations

License Requirements
Any person or entity intending to engage in commercial cannabis activity within the City of Perris must obtain a cannabis business license. A separate license is required for each person or entity, for each fixed location where cannabis activity will occur, and for each type of licensed activity. Licenses must be obtained prior to commencing business operations or, if already in operation, before the current license expires.

Term of License
Cannabis business licenses are valid for one year from the date of issuance, unless suspended or revoked by the City pursuant to the City of Perris Cannabis Ordinance.

Applications for cannabis business licenses must be submitted online through the City’s designated portal. The system allows applicants to submit required documentation, update their application as needed, and track the status of their submission.
